How do you change the perception about SAP software among budding entrepreneurs in India? For many small and mid-sized businesses in India, SAP often felt out of reach, built for a different scale. Growth Matters Forum was created to change that, by opening up a space where entrepreneurs could learn, exchange ideas, and move forward together, at their own pace.

What we
set out to do

Create a welcoming platform for MSMEs where business owners could talk openly about real challenges, learn from shared experiences, and explore technology in a way that felt practical and approachable.

Over time, this would help shift how SAP was perceived, from a complex software provider to a genuine partner in growth.

How we went
about it

We built Growth Matters Forum as a content-led community shaped around the everyday needs of entrepreneurs. By studying existing business forums and listening closely to what business owners were looking for, we defined clear content themes, including news, expert insights, thought leadership, and simple explainers that made complex topics easier to understand.

To keep the community active and relevant, we went beyond content. We introduced focused initiatives that spoke to learning, ambition, and recognition, from mentorship programs and beginner-friendly resources to awards that celebrated real business journeys, and on-ground experiences that brought technology closer to where businesses operate.

The platform itself was built from scratch, with a custom CMS, clean and intuitive UI, and simple social features like polls and interactions that made participation easy, even for busy founders. Dedicated microsites supported key initiatives, backed by consistent social and email outreach to keep conversations flowing.

What it led to

Growth Matters Forum grew into a thriving community of more than 51,000 registered members, supported by close to 800 pieces of content across articles, videos, webinars, and growth stories.

It helped change long-held perceptions, positioning SAP as an enabler for MSMEs. Initiatives like Dare to Dream Awards saw strong engagement, going on to be replicated in other regions.
