SAP D&I Coffee Table Book

Many identities,
one shared universe

SAP Labs India wanted to celebrate its diversity and inclusion journey in a unique way. The goal was to honor people. Their voices, their experiences, and the many ways they shape the culture every day. This book became a place where those stories could be seen, felt, and remembered.

What we
set out to do

Celebrate the people behind SAP Labs India’s diversity and inclusion journey, from women leaders and LGBTQIA+ employees to neurodiverse talent, persons with disabilities, allies, and changemakers across the organization.

The book needed to show inclusion as something lived and evolving. Something built through belonging, growth, and shared purpose. It also needed to speak to a wide audience, from employees to global teams and partners.

How we went
about it

We started with a simple thought. Inclusion is expansive, layered, and full of different voices. That led us to the idea of a universe, where different elements exist in their own space, yet remain connected. The solar system became our guiding metaphor. Each planet formed a chapter, mapped to a pillar of inclusion.

From the Sun representing individuality and leadership, to Earth symbolizing belonging, to Uranus reflecting diverse talent and new perspectives, every section paired symbolism with real employee stories. Personal moments were elevated through universal visual language, making abstract values tangible and deeply human.

Visually, the book embraced a bold, editorial style. Planet cutouts opened each chapter, layered with cosmic backdrops and conceptual imagery. Symbols like prisms, chess queens, and celestial forms added depth without overpowering the voices at the center of the story.

The book was produced using FSC-certified paper and eco-friendly inks, and released in both print and digital formats.

What it led to

The book resonated deeply within SAP Labs India. Employees felt seen and acknowledged.

Across global teams, partners, and clients, it stood out for its originality and emotional depth. It became a north star for how inclusion stories can be told, not as statements, but as shared human experiences.
